CORAL ISLAND

Club Fortuna initiated Operation Coral Island – OCI – in 2012.  The first object will hopefully come to fruition in the year 2018 with the acquisition of Coral Island. Along the way, the collective seeks individuals who are interested in contributing to the idea and acquiring the land – guarding wilderness and freedom.

You can buy collectively a wild island, but after the bargain the island should be inapproachable. Your focus can leave the capitalistic city and center of power, their social control and the mainstream of this society to a distal virgin place. Previously several videos and collaborations like “Painting for the Island” and “Talking about the Island” arise to reach everyone on the most direct ways.

A secluded island allowed to grow in a natural condition.  Preserved from human intervention, surrounded by ocean walls, and far from anyone’s reach.  Small and pure – amongst wind and wave, where only birds dot pink horizons.  It will be a psychological refuge, a testimony to vision and undisturbed dreams.  What intrinsic yearnings to hold the uncontrollable future!
